Volunteering with The Idaho Foodbank
We are grateful to our dedicated volunteers who generously give their time and talents, allowing The Idaho Foodbank (IFB) to stretch donations and continue to meet the ever-increasing need for food. Volunteer opportunities at a regional IFB warehouse include:
- Sorting perishable and non-perishable food for redistribution to network partners
- Compiling backpacks for our weekend child nutrition program
- Doing clerical and data projects
- Assisting our Grocery Alliance and Mobile Pantry drivers with daily pick-ups and deliveries
- Offering general warehouse assistance
- Helping with special events
- Aiding in community and corporate food drives
Depending on the situation young people aged 8-18 years can participate along with an adult in an IFB activity
