To celebrate its 160th anniversary, Wells Fargo & Company has donated $2.5 million to 60 nonprofit organizations nationwide, including $10,000 each to 16 nonprofits in Idaho. The recipients were chosen by Wells Fargo associates, and The Idaho Foodbank is proud to be one of them.
On Tuesday, March 20, the Southwest Idaho recipients – the Foodbank, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Ada County and Nampa, Home Partnership Foundation and the Idaho Humane Society – each received $10,000 checks.
Not only are we grateful for this generous gift – which will provide 30,000 meals – we are proud to say that Wells Fargo associates volunteer regularly at the Foodbank. Most recently, they turned out to help build backpack refills for the Backpack Program, the Foodbank’s initiative to feed hungry children over weekends when they don’t have access to school meals.
This is a wonderful partnership. Our thanks to Debbie Westmoreland and everyone at Wells Fargo.
