The Idaho Foodbank is fortunate to have some special people walk through the doors on a regular basis. Today was one of those days.
Aidan Simmonds, age 8, came in with his mom and sister to donate the $70 he had been given for his birthday. This is the second year in a row Aidan has done this. Last year the total was $185. This year his parents matched the money he received from the rest of his family to make the total donation $140.
“I’m trying to instill the right ethics,” Tabatha said. “I think he gets it.”
While he was here, Aidan expressed interest in volunteering, which he can do now that he’s 8. If you would like to follow Aidan’s excellent example, here is the donation page. If you want to volunteer, the page is here.
The Idaho Foodbank thanks you, Aidan. You have set an example for people all over Idaho. Nice job.
