Eagle Heights Gardens
Community garden on the University of Wisconsin, Madison campus in the Lakeshore Nature Preserve. Gardeners are Eagle Heights apartment complex residents, University of Wisconsin students, and Madison residents. Garden has residents from many different countries who speak about 60 different languages, and this garden is one of the largest and oldest (since 1962) gardens in the United States.

Program in New York City that acts as support and a networking base for community gardens. They distribute materials, support gardens financially, and enact a number of programs to support gardening efforts.

New York Green Thumb
Largest community gardening program in the country. Established in 1978, the program serves 600 gardens and 20,000 people. Program provides material and technical assistance, including classes and workshops.

Program in Petaluma County California to establish a sustainable, local food system. Includes a program acting as support network for community gardeners in the area. They offer workshops, financial support, seminars, and other resources.
Portland, Oregon Community Gardens (Parks and Rec)
Community gardening program for Portland OR. Operated from Portland Parks and Recreation office. Very established system for people wanting to start community gardens, including volunteer work to organize and build gardens, help with clean-up, fundraising, and other tasks.

One of the largest community gardening programs in the country, this program supports 68 gardens throughout Seattle. The website also has information on youth and market gardening. Also has information on organic gardening.
