Even if you manage to plant, grow, and harvest an edible plant correctly, this doesn’t guarantee that you can complete the next step: preparing it so you can eat it. In a fast food culture, many people don’t even know how to prepare common vegetables. The following is an attempt to put this information out there in a concise, simple manner. No one should be afraid of preparing a meal, and it is, after all, the Idaho Foodbank’s objective that those who are hungry eat. Please send an e-mail to rvaldez@idahofoodbank.org if you think a vegetable should be added or if the information is incorrect. Click on the following links to find out information about the vegetable listed. Printable versions in pamphlet form are also available on each page. Enjoy and bon appetit!
