The Feeding the 5000 campaign has been an annual event now for 17 years. The theme for this year is “this is the kind of fasting I have chosen:… Share your food with the hungry.” Isaiah 58:6-7 – it runs from March 8, 2014 through May 5, 2014.

Feeding the 5000 Families 16th Anniversary Interfaith Concert:
Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 7:00 PM at United Methodist Church located at 200 N 15th Ave, Pocatello, ID. This the campaign Kick Off event for the campaign. All are welcome. There will be a musicians and singers from various area churches. Admission is free but monetary donations of a can or a box of food for The Idaho Foodbank are appreciated.
Light a Candle for the Hungry:
Saturday March 22, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church on 202 S. 7th Ave, Pocatello. Event starts at 7PM.
Interfaith Progressive Dinner:
Saturday, April 5, 2014. Cost is $15 per person or $25 per couple. 100% of the proceeds go to the Idaho Foodbank. For tickets contact a participating location or the Idaho Food Bank at 2338811.

Saturday, April 19, 2014 between the hours of 10AM and 4PM.
Sign up to greet the public for 2 hours at the door of Albertsons, Smiths, Fred Meyer or Ridley’s grocery store and ask them to contribute to the Feeding the 5,000 Food Drive!
Come celebrate the end of a successful campaign on Monday, May 5, 2014 at the Museum of Clean, 711 S 2nd Ave in Pocatello. The event begins at 5:45 and is free to the public, although we do ask that you bring 2 cans of either chili or vegetables. One goes in the donation barrel and one goes into a mulligan stew that will be cooked by Dutch Oven
Delights and served after the service. You will be able to see the museum after the event!
Again this Year! We will be raffling a queen sized quilt made by one of our committee members. Suggested donations are $1 per ticket or $5 dollars for 6. All proceeds will go to The Idaho Foodbank. Tickets are available from any Committee member. Drawing will be held during the closing program. You do not need to be present to win.
