HELP YOUR
NEIGHBORS IN NEED
FROM YOUR OWN BACK YARD!
Thank you for your interest in our
Grow-A-Row program
We ask interested volunteers to
plant an extra row or two in their gardens and donate that
produce to the Foodbank at harvest time. More is fine, too.
It would be great to know what you
are planting and approximately when you can expect a
harvest. We have plenty of refrigerated storage and display
space, so even fresh lettuces and other cold-pack things are
fine. Potted herbs, snap peas, carrots, garlic, green onions
and other early spring crops would be useful, as would
summer items such as fresh corn, popcorn, winter squash
tomatoes, onions, cantaloupe, green beans, cucumber, and
kale, etc. No zucchini, please - we get too much.
Please clean items before you
bring them in if there is a lot of soil. This will save us a
lot of time. You can call ahead or email, if you like, or
just bring the produce to the warehouse during business
hours (7 am - 4 pm M-F). The warehouse is located at 3562 S.
TK Ave, just off Federal Way near Broadway. We are glad to
provide a receipt of your donation, which also serves as an
inventory intake form that we need whether you want it for
tax purposes or not.
We also have a community garden in
an 80’ x 10’ space in front of our Boise warehouse, as well
as an orchard with 10 trees out back, planted just last
fall. We could use your help to till, plant, water and
maintain the trees. All the produce is free to anyone who
wants it.
If you would like a tour or other
information, please contact Cindy Fenn at 336-9643, ext. 236
or

Thank you so much.
