Harvest Report: More Partners Step Up to Help
We received news this month that Peaceful Belly Farms will be helping us provide produce to partners near them. They’ve committed to donating their excess produce to pantries and partners. This is great news for partners who are always hoping to find more ways to provide nutritious and wholesome foods. Peaceful Belly is just another example of the incredible growers and producers we have in Idaho and the willingness they have to help.
In other news, green peppers are being planted at the farm located at the Idaho State Correctional Institution in Boise. These great little plants are going to be a great asset to our own produce distributions in coming months.
The peppers were started at the Seminis Seed Project. They’ll grow on the prison land and then will be collected and distributed to people in need all over Idaho.
