As part of his Idaho State University management courses, Matt Harmon organized and held a benefit concert/event for The Idaho Foodbank on New Year’s Eve. Called Idaho New Year’s Eve, it included three bands to draw music lovers from several genres, a canned food drive, a mechanical bull and prize giveaways. Despite cold weather conditions a good time was had by all, and the event produced 318 pounds of food and $158.07 – enough to provide 739 meals for hungry Idaho families.
In addition to the food and funds raised for the Foodbank, the event garnered Matt an A on his paper and his project.
Well done, Matt. And Happy New Year.
