Dairy is one of the most commonly requested types of product requested by the people who turn to The Idaho Foodbank for help. Luckily, Idaho’s dairy producers fill that need, donating milk, cheese and yogurt. However, those donations take a lot to transport and store correctly.
Now, the National Dairy Council and Feeding America are stepping up to help. The National Dairy Council has donated $10,000 to help The Idaho Foodbank buy a 10-pallet reefer truck to help transport dairy in north central Idaho. A truck of that size enables partners to get the product faster, safer and out to families in need as quickly as possible.
Thanks to the National Dairy Council, folks all over our state will have greater access to the fresh, nutritious dairy products they want and need.
