Ashley Furniture Raises 2,407 Pounds of Food in Pocatello

The Williams family, who won the drawing for a car, surrounded by some of the food generated by this year's Ashley Furniture food drive.

During its 12 Days of Christmas food drive, Ashley Furniture HomeStore in Pocatello raised 2,407 pounds of food. This was the third consecutive year the wonderful team at Ashley has sponsored this holiday event.

Between Nov. 9 and Nov. 26, the public was encouraged by an active multi-media advertising campaign to drop off cans of food and turkeys at Ashley Furniture HomeStore or Liquidation Center in exchange for a chance to win a car.

“Wow, I still get excited thinking about this food drive,” said Bryon Goody, local franchise owner of Ashley Furniture. “I am always impressed by how generous our community is and want to personally thank everyone who gave.

“And I’m thrilled to announce that this years’ winner of the  red 1999 Firebird was a very happy Amy Williams of Pocatello.”

“Without the support of local business like Ashley Furniture we couldn’t even begin to help alleviate hunger in Idaho,’ said Joye Jones, Eastern Idaho Branch Manager. “Thank you to a generous community for helping provide Hope for the Holidays.”
