Volunteer Spotlight – Pocatello

The Centennial Rotary Club of Pocatello was one of many clubs to hold a food or fund drive recently. The Rotarians innocently came into the warehouse to volunteer and were so impressed with the Pocatello operation that they challenged their members to provide financial assistance as well. The challenge began with $400 and quickly rose to $1,036 for the backpack program. It’s obvious that this club lives up to their motto of “enriching the hearts and minds of Pocatello youth”.

Volunteer Spotlight – Lewiston

Mike Hammond of Culdesac, Idaho is making a difference in his community. Mike drives over 45 miles a day to volunteer at the Lewiston branch of The Idaho Foodbank. He arrives early and is always willing to stay until the job is done. Mike has repacked food, processed split peas, helped with backpacks and restocked the warehouse. There is nothing Mike will not do for the Foodbank.

Other volunteers enjoy being around Mike and comment that he “operates like a fine tuned machine.”  It is a pleasure working with Mike and we look forward to having him around our warehouse. Thanks, Mike!
