Mrs. Schroeder’s 7th Grade class from Jerome Middle School brainstormed an idea to raise money for the local Soup Kitchen. We called it “Support the Soup- Bring Quarters for the Kitchen”. For one week, we asked the school to bring quarters to their team teachers.  At the end of the week, the grade level with the most quarters won a Wii – Just Dance Party during their 7th period.  In addition, members of our class brought in home baked food for a bake sale held during grade level lunches on Wednesday. At the end of the week, our school raised $234.12 in quarters! We asked Mrs. Diane Holly to come to our class and we presented her with our contribution. We were really proud to give it to her. It made us feel good to help our community.
