Proceeds Will Go to The Idaho Foodbank
On Saturday, Feb. 1, Daisy’s Madhouse will present its fifth annual “Will Act for Food: A Play Festival in 24 Hours” to benefit The Idaho Foodbank. The popular evening of original one-act plays is sponsored and hosted by Boise Little Theater.
On Friday, Jan. 31, at 7:30 p.m., writers will begin to create original works in a variety of randomly assigned genres – drama, tragedy, comedy, farce, absurdist, suspense and adaptation. The writers will be given a line and a prop they must use within a 10-minute one-act play. The next morning, directors and casts are chosen at random for each play, and rehearsals begin at 7:30 a.m. Showtime is 12 hours later, at 7:30 p.m.
The results of this often-amazing instant theater art must be seen to be believed.
Registration for writers, directors and actors began Jan. 6. The participation fee was $15. This revenue, as well as all ticket sales, will go The Idaho Foodbank.
