COVID-19 Impact Continues to Hit Hard in Blaine County

Since the COVID-19 impact arrived, The Hunger Coalition has reported serving more families through its food pantry in one month than the organization did in all of 2019. They are operating at over three times the level they did prior to the outbreak. That’s three times as many families and three times as much food. The numbers are unprecedented.

Double Delivery Gives Seniors Relief

The COVID-19 pandemic has hit our elderly population hard. Early in the crisis the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that adults 65 years and older along with people living in nursing home or long-term care facilities were at higher risk to contract severe illness from COVID-19. Many national and local organizations stepped up immediately to support this vulnerable population in response to this prediction.
