As Christmas approaches, Albertsons is coming through in the clutch for families in need. The newest shipment of meals is part of Albertsons’ “Santa Bucks” campaign, enabling customers to donate at the register by rounding up their purchase or adding $1, $5 or $10 as a donation. The campaign, along with “Turkey Bucks” during November, enables customers and associates to work together to raise the funds needed to provide delicious meals.
Micron provides employees an annual holiday gift (choice of ham or turkey) in appreciation of their hard work throughout the year. Since 2001, many employees have chosen to donate their hams/turkeys to families through The Idaho Foodbank. This year’s donation brings the 15-year total to more than 23,000 turkeys and hams for Idaho families.
The 9th Annual Hunger Bowl is coming and this year’s edition promises to be an innovative and successful spin on the annual tradition. Boise State has once again teamed up with The Idaho Foodbank, The Salvation Army and the Boise Rescue Mission Ministries to help in the effort to solve hunger as the organizations prepare for the busy fall and winter seasons.
