The Idaho Foodbank (IFB) is looking for an intern for our Community Partnership Department. The ideal person for this position has a passion for fighting hunger locally, is self-motivated, ready to learn, as well as collaborative with the IFB team and the network of 400+ partner feeding programs!

The Community Partner Intern will work closely with a Community Partner Specialist. After getting oriented to the food bank, the Intern will help with ensuring Partner data is accurate, help create guides for new/existing partners and a variety of similar projects. We also look forward to tailoring some responsibilities and experiences to the Intern’s natural strengths and interests (e.g. food distribution events, website or graphic design, blog writing, training and event prep, etc.)

Required and Preferred Skills

  • Ability and willingness to work with diverse populations
  • Great verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to stay organized and multi-task
  • Graphic design skills a plus
  • Ability to work within a team

Working Conditions
This work is performed primarily in an office environment while sitting at a computer terminal for extended periods of time. May involve periodic lifting and carrying of items that may weigh up to 50 pounds. May work outside normal working hours and drive own vehicle for various projects on a daily basis.
