Eastern Idaho Gets New Leadership

The Idaho Foodbank is excited to announce the hire of a new Eastern Idaho Branch Manager in Pocatello. Jim Beitz is running the branch, which distributed the food for more than 5,000,000 meals through 62 partners in the last year. Beitz grew up in American Falls, so he knows eastern Idaho very well. After graduating from high school, Jim enlisted in the Air Force. The service sent him to the Community College for the Air Force in Alabama where he majored in AAS Logistics Management. Assigned to Supply Logistics Readiness, Jim initially worked in warehouses where his primary responsibility was stock and inventory management. In the latter part of his service, he was Configuration and FMS Logistics Manager at Hill Air Force Base in Utah where he handled mission planning hardware and software.

A career serviceman, Jim retired from the Air Force in 2010 after 10 years of active service and 11 years in the reserves. Since leaving the military, Jim has worked in a number of sales positions always with an emphasis on customer service; a real plus for his new job.

If you live in the area or come through, stop by the eastern Idaho branch and say hello to Jim, the newest face in the effort to solve hunger.
