SUMMARY:6-Week Cooking Matters Course
DESCRIPTION:The Idaho Foodbank and Eat Smart Idaho are teaming up to bring Cooking Matters for Families to the Mini-Cassia. This 6-week course will be an interactive experience to help adults learn how to choose and prepare healthy foods on a budget with limited equipment. This fun and informative class will include hands-on food preparation\, label reading\, meal planning\, and nutrition tips. Our goal is to help families make the most of their food dollars. Each class will conclude with a nutritious meal that participants and instructors will sit down to eat together. All participants who attend 5 out of the 6 classes will be eligible for a grand prize drawing. Children under the age of 16 must have adult supervision and all members of the household are encouraged to attend together. \nThis Class is Now Full \nFULL\nDay: Mondays\nDates: February 2\, 9\, & 23 and March 2\, 9\, & 16\, 2026\nTime: 5:30pm-7:15pm\nLocation: University of Idaho Extension at 85 E. SUMMARY:INL Night at The Spud Kings
DESCRIPTION:If you’re a fan of hockey and you live in East Idaho\, you won’t want to miss the INL Night at the Spud Kings! INL is teaming up with the Spud Kings hockey team on Thursday\, February 19th at the Mountain America Center in Idaho Falls for what is sure to be a fun and exciting night. Not only will INL be sponsoring a fantastic hockey game\, but they have also chosen to partner with The Idaho Foodbank to help raise funds during the game which will go towards addressing food insecurity across East Idaho. \nThat night\, all of the players on the Spud Kings will be wearing co-branded INL/Spud Kings jerseys\, with those same jerseys getting auctioned off during the game. All of the proceeds from the jersey auction will go directly to The Idaho Foodbank and will allow us to continue providing nutritious food throughout our communities on the East side of the state. \nHelp us spread the word to get as many hockey fans as possible there and bidding on the jerseys! The goal is to raise enough funds to provide up to 40\,000 meals to people in need\, so we hope to see you there!
