DESCRIPTION:  \nCROP Hunger Walks are community-based walk fundraising events held in cities and towns across the United States\, created in response to hunger\, poverty\, displacement\, and disaster. \nThe 2026 Ada County CROP Hunger Walk will be held on Sunday\, October 11 at 3:00 PM\, starting in Julia Davis Park at the Agriculture Pavilion (between the Bandshell and the Zoo\, next to the greenbelt/river). Registration starts at 2:30 PM. The 3-mile loop begins on the greenbelt then switches to streets downtown and then back to Julia Davis Park for return. A one-mile loop will also be available. \nSeventy-five percent of funds raised will be donated to Church World Service\, a faith-based organization transforming communities around the globe through just and sustainable responses to hunger\, poverty\, displacement\, and disaster. A quarter of the funds raised will be donated to The Idaho Foodbank\, whose mission is to nourish\, educate\, and advocate to support thriving\, food-secure communities across Idaho. \nThe Ada County CROP Hunger Walk has set a goal of 150 participating walkers from area churches and hopes to raise a total of $25\,000. DESCRIPTION:The Subaru Share the Love Event is entering its 19th year for Subaru of America\, Inc. During the 2026 Subaru Share the Love event\, for every new vehicle purchased or leased\, Subaru will donate $250 when the purchaser chooses one or more of the participating charities. Additionally\, participating retailers will donate $50 or more to their selected hometown charity or charities for every new vehicle purchased or leased. Over the past 18 years of the event\, Subaru and our retailers have made a real impact\, donating over $345 million to a wide range of both national and local charities. For the last thirteen years\, Subaru retailers have been able to select a hometown charity to receive donations\, in addition to the national charities. \nThis year\, Phil Meador Subaru in Pocatello has selected The Idaho Foodbank as it’s participating charity here locally! We look forward continuing the hometown charity program this year to help increase the impact the Subaru Share the Love Event is making in local communities across the country!
