7Cares Idaho Shares Day Could Set a Record

The numbers aren’t in yet, but it looks like the 7Cares Idaho Shares day on December 12 was a huge success. Thousands of people from the Treasure and Magic showed up to donate cash and food at Albertsons Stadium and Fred Meyer stores in the Treasure Valley and Twin Falls. The drive will benefit The Idaho Foodbank, The Salvation Army and the  Rescue Mission, along with Jubilee House of Twin Falls and  other charities that help feed the hungry in southern Idaho.

Zions Bank and Gardner Company matched every dollar raised up to $100,000 and volunteers from several area high schools and the sponsored charities helped collect donations. Tyson Foods donated 30,000 frozen chickens.
