Partner Spotlight: The Rexburg Mobile Food Pantry
The Mobile Pantry Program distributes food to underserved, often rural, communities. This program helps populations that do not have access to, or have difficulty accessing, food assistance. Mobile pantries operate all across the state of Idaho.
One mobile pantry in Eastern Idaho has been making a significant impact lately – the Rexburg Mobile Food Pantry. This pantry is operated entirely by community members, with food being provided by The Idaho Foodbank. In 2024 alone, this pantry served over 16,700 people across Madison, Fremont, Jefferson, and Bonneville Counties—averaging 1,400 individuals and 400 families each month. With over 351,000 pounds of food distributed, including fresh produce, shelf-stable items, milk, and frozen proteins, the pantry offers more than just groceries—it delivers dignity and connection.
For neighbors facing tough choices, it means not having to pick between paying bills and putting food on the table. For volunteers, it’s a powerful reminder that service can spark meaningful connections. And for communities across Eastern Idaho, it’s a testament to what’s possible when we show up for one another.
