Community health workers are tasked with referring patients to the resources they need. These resources often go beyond the health care services you may think of and branch into community-based resources, like food pantries.
Driving Community Support
Joe Hall Ford in Lewiston collected over 1,045 boxes of cereal, 600 jars of peanut butter, and 120 pounds of additional food and funds for The Idaho Foodbank!
Idaho Food Bank Fund Accepting Grant Applications
The Idaho Food Bank Fund is accepting grant applications during the month of July. This grant application process is open between July 1st and July 31st to Idaho 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations. Grant funding is available to provide nutrition awareness, promote healthy eating or relieve hunger.
A Birthday Wish to Help the Community
Pocatello had a fun and memorable volunteer shift at their warehouse last month. Marcie Brown, a dedicated volunteer, invited her seven best friends from Vernal, UT to come celebrate her birthday with a volunteer shift at The Idaho Foodbank!
