The Idaho Foodbank is hiring to fill 15 VISTA Meal Service Summer Associate positions for the 2017 Picnic in the Park summer lunch program. Positions include: team leads, site supervisors, site assistants, drivers, driver’s assistants, and warehouse inventory control and will be assigned at the time of hire. Assist with operations of The Idaho Foodbank’s Picnic in the Park summer lunch program by overseeing the safe handling, transport, and service of meals to eligible children and assigned locations.

The Picnic in the Park Administrative Assistant will assist the Nutrition Services team with the daily operation and administrative tasks related to the Picnic in the Park Summer Feeding Program. The Picnic in the Park Summer Feeding Program provides free meals to children ages 1-18 in 26 meal site locations throughout the Boise-metro area.
On Monday, June 6th, The Idaho Foodbank was joined by representatives from the City of Boise, Idaho State Department of Education, CNCS – AmeriCorps VISTA, United States Department of Agriculture, Boise Parks and Recreation, Boise School District and Idaho Commission for Libraries in launching Picnic in the Park 2016. Monday through Friday, from June 6 to August 12, Picnic in the Park will provide nearly 52,000 free meals to food-insecure children one to 18 years of age living in the Boise-metro area.
