20th Empty Bowls Exceeds Goals
You all are amazing! Our 20th anniversary of Empty Bowls reached new heights by surpassing our goal of $40K with a total of $40,272; this will provide 201,360 meals this holiday season. We saw more than 1,000 attendees enjoy last Friday’s event on the Grove Plaza, plus a marriage proposal (she said yes. The picture of the happy family is above) The Ops Team is really celebrating because we packed up the remaining lone table of bowls; that’s equivalent to ¼ pallet. This year our soup supporters donated over 660 quarts of gourmet soup like Lobster Bisque Tucanos, Chowder Ivar’s & Reel Foods Fish Market, and Lucky Fins’ Jalapeno Poblano Cream Soup with the remaining soup donated to the Boise Rescue Mission’s River of Life.
