A Successful Empty Bowls Event in Boise!

As temperatures dropped and the countdown to the end of 2025 began, The Idaho Foodbank’s annual Empty Bowls sale in Boise brought the community together to help Idahoans in need. It was amazing to see hundreds of people come out during this year’s two day, in-person Empty Bowls Event to learn more about food insecurity in Idaho and support our work by purchasing hand-painted or handmade bowls.

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, bowl donors, and hundreds of caring customers, we exceeded our goal and raised the funds needed to provide food for nearly 100,000 meals! Every dollar raised will help fuel The Idaho Foodbank’s programs, providing consistent access to nutritious food for people across the state facing hunger.

Empty Bowls was made possible through the leadership of our Presenting Sponsor Albertsons, Gold Sponsor Lyle Pearson, Silver Sponsor America First Credit Union, Bronze Sponsors Cody Walgamott State Farm and The Land Group, and bowl sponsors A Way with Clay and Ceramica.

A special thank you to those who donated bowls, including A Way With Clay, Ceramica, Fort Boise Community Center, Idaho Ceramic Club, Idahonu Ceramics, Roseanne Noble, anonymous bowl donors, and anyone else who painted or created a bowl for this event. Empty Bowls couldn’t happen without you.

We also appreciate the volunteers who helped with this event. Thank you to our host, Boise Towne Square Mall, for partnering with us to bring back Empty Bowls as an in-person event during the holidays for the first time since 2019.
