Albertsons And The Idaho Foodbank Celebrate Their Ongoing Partnership To Address Food Insecurity

Meridian, ID – Albertsons and The Idaho Foodbank celebrated recent campaigns that supported The Idaho Foodbank. At the conclusion of the college basketball season, Albertsons presented a check for “Steals for Meals” to The Idaho Foodbank. Albertsons pledged to donate money to The Foodbank for every stolen ball by the BSU Men’s Basketball Team during their home games. This resulted in a donation of $10,000 to The Idaho Foodbank.

During the holiday season, the Feed Joy campaign resulted in customers and employees at 11 Albertsons stores raising $150,000 for The Idaho Foodbank. Since 2005, the Feed Joy campaign
has raised funds for The Idaho Foodbank to provide food for Idahoans who are struggling to make ends meet. This campaign gives customers the opportunity to donate money to The Idaho
Foodbank when they are paying for their purchases.

“We are incredibly proud of our ongoing partnership with The Idaho Foodbank. Through initiatives like ‘Steals for Meals’ and the Feed Joy campaign, we can make a tangible impact in our community,” said John Colgrove, President of the Intermountain region of Albertsons. “It’s the generosity of our customers and the dedication of our employees that make this possible, and
together, we are helping to ensure that no Idahoan goes hungry.”

“We are so appreciative of our year-round partnership with Albertsons,” said Randy Ford, President and CEO of The Idaho Foodbank. “The support of Albertsons, as well as their customers and employees, is an important part of our work to help our neighbors in need.”
