Celebrating America 250 with Volunteerism

This year is the 250th Anniversary of the existence of the United States of America. One way to celebrate this monumental birthday, is to participate in an act of volunteerism. The America 250 in Idaho Service Challenge invites individuals, families, classrooms, businesses, faith groups, and communities to serve in ways big and small. The goal is to have Idahoans participate in 250,000 Acts of Service to mark the 250th birthday of the United States of America. Visit idahokindness.com to get inspired by some of the volunteer work that has already been done and submit volunteer work that you have completed to be counted as part of the counted as part of this Service Challenge.

In our last fiscal year, over 25,000 people volunteered over 71,000 hours with The Idaho Foodbank. We know the power of volunteers – they are vital to our success and the lifeblood of our food distribution partner network across the state. If you are interested in volunteering with The Idaho Foodbank in Meridian, Lewiston, or Pocatello, you can sign up on our website.
