Collaboration at the Moscow and Rexburg Partner Conferences
The Idaho Foodbank wrapped up its Statewide Partner Conferences in April with the North Central and Eastern Partner Agencies gathering in Moscow & Rexburg, respectively. Over 100 partner agencies participated in this year’s conferences.
Throughout each conference, dedicated time was built in for connection and peer learning among our partners. During the conferences there were sessions about the state of the nonprofit sector in Idaho; fundraising and volunteer development ideas; and presentations about the community health trends and needs that impact food insecurity in the different regions of the state. There was a panel session at each conference where a few of our partners shared some of the public policy advocacy they have done and how that related to their organization’s mission. We were grateful to have Moscow Mayor Hailey Lewis and Idaho Falls City Council Member John Radford join us for those panel sessions.
Each conference began with an overview of The Idaho Foodbank’s 2030 vision, highlighting how we are working alongside our partner network to Nourish Today for a Food‑Secure Tomorrow. There were also nutrition education mini‑classes that demonstrated meal‑building, label‑reading, and ways to guide neighbors toward nutritious choices, even when they are under financial stress.

The conferences highlighted how the combination of data, lived experience, and trusted community relationships can drive awareness of food insecurity and meaningful change. Ending hunger is not the work of one organization alone—it is a shared effort grounded in learning, partnership, and collective action.
