Coming Soon – Pardon the Giving

Idaho Gives, a program of the Idaho Nonprofit Center, runs from April 28th – May 1st.  Idaho Gives is designed to bring the state together, raising money and awareness for Idaho nonprofits.

This year, The Idaho Foodbank will be participating in the first ever “Pardon the Giving” during Idaho Gives. On May 1st, from 12-5 pm, representatives from The Foodbank will be ‘locked up’ inside a cell at the Old Idaho Penitentiary, and they will not be released until they reach their fundraising goals.

On May 1st, visitors are welcome to stop by the Old Idaho Penitentiary (please note they must pay an admission fee) to meet with The Idaho Foodbank and other local nonprofits. There will be literature, resources, and an opportunity to donate to help ‘release’ The Foodbank staff from their cells. Donations can also be made online through the Idaho Gives website at https://www.idahogives.org/.

Idaho Gives is an incredibly impactful program, and we hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about The Foodbank and support our work. With every $5 given, we are able to provide food for up to 15 meals for Idahoans facing food insecurity.
