Community Supports the Idaho Foodbank at “A Seat at the Table”Event in Boise

Over 300 people gathered in support of The Idaho Foodbank in downtown Boise last week at JUMP. “A Seat at the Table” is The Idaho Foodbank’s largest culinary fundraising event of the year. Ninety-two percent of The Idaho Foodbank’s revenue is from philanthropy. That is why community support from events like this are so important.

“A Seat at the Table” is a one-of-a-kind event that offers guests an evening of food, fun, and philanthropy to support The Idaho Foodbank’s vision of a hunger-free Idaho. Guests enjoyed an interactive happy hour that included games, raffles, appetizers, and time to ride the spiral slide at JUMP. Guests were able to mingle and learn more details about some of The Idaho Foodbank’s work, including children’s programs, mobile food pantries, and health & nutrition programs.

While enjoying a three-course dinner, attendees heard about the impact of The Idaho Foodbank’s work across the state and participated in a live auction. Thank you to Presenting Sponsor AgWest Farm Credit and Culinary Sponsor Sysco for supporting this event.

“A Seat at the Table” raised enough funds to provide food for nearly one million meals for Idahoans who are food insecure. The Idaho Foodbank appreciates Platinum Sponsor Yardi, as well as Gold Sponsors Lamb Weston and Simplot. In the last fiscal year, The Idaho Foodbank provided enough food for over 21 million meals.

“We are grateful for the community support through A Seat at the Table and other events,” said Randy Ford, President and CEO of The Idaho Foodbank. “It is amazing what we can do when we all come together to improve the lives of our neighbors in need.”
