Empty Bowls 2019 a Huge Success!
Over 1,200 hardy souls braved chilly temperatures to stand in line, purchase a handcrafted bowl and be served savory soup cooked by 22 Boise based restaurants at The Idaho Foodbank’s 22nd Empty Bowls event on November 29, 2019. The funds raised through this annual post-Thanksgiving day tradition, go right back into the community. This year food for over 152,000 meals will be provided to our neighbors in need this holiday season thanks to the generosity of the community at this holiday tradition.
Thank you to everyone who helped make Friday’s 22nd Annual Empty Bowls event in downtown Boise a huge success! We had a little snow and the Christmas tree was down, but thanks to our sponsors, volunteers, all the restaurants who donated soup and folks who came down to shop for bowls, it turned out to be a great day.
