911 Day

Join us in Boise on September 11 for the 9/11 Day of Service! Volunteer as Support Staff and help us pack 192,500 meals for those in need.

As we prepare to commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11, we are honored to invite Idaho Food Bank to be part of this historic day of service and remembrance. Through this nationwide initiative, more than 50,000 volunteers across 50 cities will come together to pack 20 million meals for individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.

Public registration opens July 7. While your group may still register after that date, volunteer spots are expected to fill quickly.

Register Here: https://volunteer.911day.org/projects/e1d7e5f1-0499-4c2d-9360-d4e99b87279d

Pack the Plane

Sponsored by:Alaska Airlines

Upload Event Logo

It's that time again for Alaska Airlines' 12th annual Pack the Plane Food Drive. During last year’s Pack the Plane food drive, Alaska and Horizon employees packed the equivalent of 25.5 cargo planes. We raised almost $130,000 in financial donations and collected more than 10,000 pounds of canned goods for local food banks, providing a half-million meals. We're virtually packing planes. The number of cargo planes we "pack" is based on overall space and weight load capacity of a Boeing 737-400 freighter aircraft. This year our communities need assistance more than ever. Please join our employees in rising up and lifting our communities with life's basic essential - food.
