Ada County Crop Hunger Walk

Crop Hunger Walks are community-based walk events held in cities and towns across the United States to raise funds for hunger relief. This year’s Ada County Crop Hunger Walk will be held on Sunday, October 12 at the Agriculture Pavilion in Julia Davis Park (the shelter between the Bandshell and the Zoo on the greenbelt/river side). Registration starts at 2:30 pm and the walk starts at 3:00 pm. The walk is a 3-mile loop, beginning on the greenbelt, then switching to streets downtown and then back to Julia Davis Park for the return. A one-mile loop will also be available.
Twenty-five percent of the funds raised will be donated to The Idaho Foodbank, whose mission is to nourish, educate, and advocate to support thriving, food-secure communities across Idaho. The other seventy-five percent will be given to Church World Service, a faith-based organization whose mission is to transform communities around the globe through just and sustainable responses to hunger, poverty, displacement, and disaster.

Ada County Crop Hunger Walk
Sponsored by:Crop Hunger Walk

The Ada County CROP Hunger Walk invites you to join our walk to celebrate CROP Hunger Walk’s 50th Anniversary--this is Ada County CROP Hunger Walk’s 38th year! CROP Hunger Walks help hunger efforts locally, nationally and globally.
25% of all funds generated from our walk will be designated to the Idaho Foodbank and remain in Idaho to end hunger here.
Walkers enjoy the 3.4 mile route on the greenbelt as well as downtown Boise. We walk 3.4 miles because that is the distance many people in our world have to walk to access water. A one mile route is available for folks who are unable to do the longer walk.
Please join us October 13th to end hunger one step at a time.
Together, we can help end hunger in our community and around the world!
