Albertsons and The Idaho Foodbank are partnering again this holiday season to address food insecurity. From November 1 through December 31, 2025, customers can support The Idaho Foodbank by purchasing Holiday Bucks for the Feed Joy campaign when they pay for their purchases at select Albertsons locations.

Beef Night on the Ice is a night to celebrate the Beef Counts program while enjoying a Steelheads hockey game! $1.00 from every general ticket sale will be donated to the Beef Counts campaign. Daisy’s Madhouse Theatre announces “Will Act 4 Food,” a short-play festival to benefit The Idaho Foodbank. This annual event, now in its 8th year, will be held on Saturday, January 28th at 7:30 p.m. at the Boise Little Theater (map here). In 2016, "Will Act 4 Food" raised $4,000 for the statewide hunger-relief organization.
The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl is Thursday, December 22 at Albertsons Stadium with U of I Vandals vs. Colorado State Rams. Parking lot opens at 1pm game starts at 5pm. A bowling event sponsored by Albertsons between the teams that benefits The Idaho Foodbank is scheduled for Monday , December 19 starting at 5:30 PM at Wahooz PINZ in Meridian.
Messiah Sing-In Community Event

The annual Hallelujah Chorus in association with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints is hosting a Messiah Sign-in live musical event. The show begins at 7:00pm on Sunday December 18th at the Stephens Performing Arts Center in Pocatello. Admission is free, however, canned goods and cash will be collected for the Idaho Foodbank.
Drive Away Hunger

Friday, December 16th, “Drive Away Hunger” in partnership with Cole Chevrolet in Pocatello and Smith Chevrolet in Idaho Falls will be happening at local Fred Meyer stores in both Pocatello and Idaho Falls locations. From 4 to 7p, near the front doors of both stores, there will be a Chevy pickup. Participants will be able to leave food donations in the truck, so we can “fill the truck.” All the food goes to the Idaho Foodbank.
