Ada County/Boise Crop Hunger Walk

Ada County CROP Hunger Walk will be held on Sunday, October 13 at 3:00 pm, Julia Davis Park, Agriculture Pavilion (shelter between the Bandshell and the Zoo on green belt/river side). Registration starts at 2:30 pm.
The 3-mile loop begins on the greenbelt then switches to streets downtown and then back to Julia Davis Park for return. A one-mile loop will be available for those unable to walk the longer distance.
Looking to make a difference in our local community and in communities worldwide, the Ada County CROP Hunger Walk has set a goal of 150 Walkers from area churches and hopes to raise $40,000 to help end hunger and poverty through long-term sustainable approaches to significantly reduce or eliminate hunger.
Seventy-five percent of the funds are given to Church World Service. Church World Service is a faith-based organization transforming communities around the globe through just and sustainable responses to hunger, poverty, displacement and disaster.
A quarter of the funds raised will go to the Idaho Foodbank, whose mission is to help feed, educate and advocate for Idaho’s hungry through collaborative partnerships to develop efficient solutions that strengthen individuals, families and communities.
Please join us on our walk to end hunger!

Thanksgiving in June
Sponsored by:City of Trees Real Estate

City of Trees Real Estate is celebrating 5th annual Thanksgiving in June. During the summer months, thousands of children are not getting school-provided breakfast or lunch, and overall giving is at a seasonal low for non-perishable food items. To shed light on this issue, the entire month of June, we have an event once a week to help collect non-perishable food items and donations for The Idaho Foodbank. To wrap up our month of giving, on June 23rd & June 24th, City of Trees Real Estate will be located at two Fred Meyer locations (Chinden & Linder and Chinden & Glenwood) collecting non-perishable food and donations for The Idaho Foodbank.
