Empty Bowls – Pocatello

Come support The Idaho Foodbank at this year’s Empty Bowls event in Pocatello put on by the Pocatello Arts Council! All proceeds from the event will go towards fighting hunger in our local communities here in East Idaho.On Friday, March 8th from 6-8pm, all are welcome to come join us at Westside Players at 1009 S 2nd Ave in Pocatello to enjoy an evening of great food, great music, a silent auction, and more! For a $25 donation at the door, you’ll get your pick of any single handmade ceramic bowl made by our very own Clay Club here at ISU – the bowl selections are first come, first served so make sure you get there early if you want to have the largest variety to pick from! Along with your bowl, you’ll get free soup, bread, treats, and soda courtesy of Albertsons, Sand Trap, Butterburr’s, and Fixxology, respectively.There will also be a selection of food/drinks provided by some other fantastic local businesses such as Jim Dandy’s, Off the Rails, Glean Coffee, The College Market, and The Grapevine, along with live music from the Reese Thompson Trio.This year’s event is presented by Lookout Credit Union – a long-time supporter and partner of the Idaho Foodbank – and you definitely won’t want to miss it! Whole Foods 5% Community Giving Day

Whole Foods Market knows how their local community is passionate about supporting the local causes. First off, did you know Whole Foods donates to The Idaho Foodbank's Food Rescue program and their prepared food to local shelters? Several times a year, Whole Foods holds a Community Giving Day, where five percent of that day’s net sales are donated to a local nonprofit or educational organization. This November 17, Whole Foods Market selected The Idaho Foodbank as the recipient of for the holiday season.

Beginning Monday, November 14, patrons of Subway Restaurants in and around both Boise and Pocatello will have an opportunity to participate in the SUBWAY® Cares program to raise funds for The Idaho Foodbank. At checkout, customers will be able to donate by rounding up to the nearest dollar. All funds will go directly toward The Idaho Foodbank to help feed families in need during the holiday season. The program will conclude Friday, December 16.
Elevate Salon Institute Grand Re-Opening

Elevate Salon Institute is the very first beauty school in the country developed directly with L’Oreal Professional. Elevate Salon Institute has remodel and are re-opening on November 10th. The 10th will be the kick off with a ribbon cutting ceremony. ESI will have prizes, snacks raffles and give aways. For Each non perishable item donated, the donor will have a $1 discount on any service. If a customer purchase retail shampoos, conditioners, t-shirts gift cards (cash) ESI will donate 10% of the price to the BackPack Program. If customers want to buy gift cards, they will be able to buy cards in any denomination that never expire and again 10% will go to the Idaho Foodbank.
While the ribbon cutting is at 11:00 on November 10th, we will carry the promotion for the Idaho Foodbank thru November 12th.
