Empty Bowls – Meridian

Get ready for our 25th annual Empty Bowls virtual event! Empty Bowls is an international project to fight hunger, personalized by artists and community members, who offer their handcrafted and hand-painted bowls throughout the year. The Idaho Foodbank’s Empty Bowls offers the opportunity to select a unique bowl from thousands. We encourage you to remember that not all our Idaho neighbors are able to meet the basic need of feeding their families. The funds raised by this event help to provide food assistance to those in need this winter holiday season. Bowls start at $15 and sales will open on November 25th at 8AM.

Each order will come in a reusable Albertsons shopping bag and will include a $5 Albertsons gift card (per bowl) as well as soup recipes to enjoy. If you would like to, you can donate your gift card(s) to a neighbor in need, just let us know when you pick up your order.

Bowl sales are open until Wednesday December 14th.

Tackle Hunger

Sponsored by:U Of Idaho and ISU

The fierce rivalry between the University of Idaho and Idaho State University takes a back seat to a more important mission during this year's Rivalry Week. The ISU Alumni Association and University of Idaho Alumni are teaming up to tackle hunger in Idaho by launching a week-long food drive in support of the Idaho Food Bank.

From Monday, November 13, to Saturday, November 18, Bengal and Vandal alumni, supporters and fans are encouraged to join forces in the fight against hunger. The initiative, aptly named "Vandals and Bengals: Tackling Hunger Together," aims to make a significant impact on the lives of Idahoans facing food insecurity.

The Idaho Food Bank (IFB) plays a crucial role in alleviating hunger across the state by distributing food to local partner agencies, schools and individuals in need. IFB’s tireless efforts have made a significant difference in the lives of countless Idaho residents, particularly during these challenging times.

Empty Bowls Throw Down

Sponsored by:Ceramica

We are inviting our community to help us throw or hand build as many bowls for the Empty Bowls fundraiser as possible. We are providing free clay, and free instruction that day for anyone who will donate their bowl to the Food Bank. This is a great opportunity to try to work with clay for free and contribute to an amazing cause. Later on, we will offer discounts for painting of these bowls.
Our event will run all day long. Our studio will transform into a clay studio for the day.
Painting for the Empty Bowls Fundraiser will also be possible, if our customers do not want to get dirty. We will offer a $2 discount for each painted and donated bowl.
