MOO Bucks
Sponsored by:Albertsons

People can donate “Moo Bucks” at Albertsons checkouts June 1-15. While it’s easy for people to donate canned and dry goods, fresh milk is much harder to donate because it’s perishable. Thus, even though food pantries report milk is one of the most requested items, it’s difficult for them to meet the demand. A donation to Moo Bucks help The Idaho Foodbank purchase and distribute dairy foods to clients and give them vouchers to redeem for milk.
Thanksgiving in June

The goal is to fill the City of Trees Real Estate moving truck as many times as possible over a two-day event, but also throughout the entire month of June.
Scheduled Events:
• June 3rd or 4th - City of Trees Real Estate Team Volunteering at The Idaho Foodbank
• June 15th - Big Jud’s - $1 per burger donated
• June 13th - COTRE Happy Hour – collecting donations
• June 29th + 30th - Fred Meyer’s Grocery Store Booth -- (Linder and Glenwood)

Stamp Out Hunger
Sponsored by:National Association of Letter Carriers

The second Saturday in May is the largest one-day food drive in the nation. So it is appropriately named Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive Day. How is it possible? It occurs in more than 10,000 cities and towns, and the food is collected by those men and women carrying our mail across the country. As they deliver to postal customers, those customers get to do their part by filling their mailbag with non-perishable food donations.
Over the last 27 years, one billion pounds of food has been delivered by this drive which is sponsored by the National Association of Letter Carriers. The letter carriers representing the NALC receive help from rural letter carriers, other postal employees and other volunteers. The Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive has received a number of accolades over the years, including two Presidential Certificates of Achievement.
