Quick & Easy Back to School Meals – Lewiston
Participants will learn to create quick, affordable meals using small appliances like an instant pot, air fryer or electric skillet. We will also discuss sheet pan meals, meal prepping & freezer meals. Participants will experience hands on cooking, go home with a free gift for attending, print resources and all recipes used in class. There will be a GRAND prize drawing for those in attendance.

Scouting for Food

The Boy Scouts of America Grand Teton Council will once again be gathering non-perishable food items as part of their "Scouting for Food" drive in Eastern Idaho this October. Bags for food collection will be dropped of beginning Oct 21 with the Scouts collecting those filled bags on Saturday, October 28th. The Grand Teton Council serves 16 counties in Eastern Idaho and is working with The Idaho Foodbank to distribute the food to each troops closest local Food Pantry. This is part of a larger campaign for Valley Office Systems - where Valley will donate enough to cover one child for two months on the Backpack and School Pantry programs with every printer/copier sold from Oct 5 - Nov 30. This donation is going on at all Valley Office Systems' Idaho Locations: Idaho Falls, Twin Falls, Boise, Pocatello. This campaign is being pushed on radio - with a partnership with East Idaho Radio doing additional PSA's about the School Pantry and Backpack programs. We'll also have a social and digital component to the campaign.

George Winston became famous for his best-selling records for the Windham Hill catalog. His Christmas album December which certified triple platinum for sales of over three million. Winston has recorded over fifteen solo piano albums, and is one of the best-known performers playing contemporary instrumental music.
The concert includes a public food drive with CD sales going to benefit The Idaho Foodbank.

The Idaho Foodbank is gathering canned and non-perishable food items to support the families in need throughout eastern Idaho. We're kicking off Kind Week with a street party festival in partnership with Old Town Pocatello for our 3rd annual Kick-Off Celebration. The FREE, family-friendly event will feature live music, entertainment, activities for the entire family, food trucks and our Exhibition in KIND. Grab a Passport to KINDness from one of our volunteers and check in at each of our points of interest to qualify for some fantastic raffle prizes.
