Scouting for Food – Southwest

Scouting for Food is one of Idaho’s largest annual food drives hosted by Boy Scouts of America. This year’s event is a collaboration with Just Serve. Volunteers across the Treasure, Magic, and Wood River Valley will pick up bags of food from designated neighborhoods.

Scouting for Food, hosted by Scouting America, is one of Idaho’s largest annual food drives. Volunteers across the Treasure, Magic, and Wood River Valley will pick up food from designated neighborhoods. If you find a door hanger at your house on November 1st, you can leave a donation outside your front door for the Scouts to pick up on November 8th. If you don't receive a door hanger, you can still donate at one of the drop-off sites listed below.
Whatever You CAN Give - Bannock County Food Drive

Community members across Bannock County will have a chance throughout November to drop off non-perishable food items at many of the county facilities, with all donations being provided to The Idaho Foodbank! The county will have food drive barrels at the Courthouse, The Village, Planning & Development, and the Sheriff's, Assessor's, Events Complex, Road & Bridge, and Fort Hall Mine Landfill Offices.
All donations go to support our neighbors in need across the region, so come show your support by dropping off some food!
A Night of Music and Community

Idaho Fine Arts students present A FUNDRAISING CONCERT FOR THE IDAHO FOODBANK, in partnership with Duck Club and Treefort Music Hall. Join us for a night of music and community support with performances from The Traveler and jdhix.
Admission: non-perishable food items and/or a cash donation to The Idaho Foodbank.
Doors open at 6:30 pm and show starts at 7:00 pm. All ages welcome.

Cranksgiving - Pocatello

It’s that turkey time of the year - come join Barrie’s Ski & Sports for their annual Cranksgiving event in Pocatello! To meet the increased need for assistance in Bannock county, we are asking for your support to help us gather turkeys to be distributed at the Bannock County Thanksgiving food distribution. Turkeys and monetary donations can be dropped off at Barrie’s Ski & Sports or The Idaho Foodbank. All donations will need to be made by 12:00 noon on Friday, November 21st.
Want to continue the fun? Grab your bike and meet us at 10:00am at Barrie’s Ski and Sports on Saturday, November 22nd as we peddle the remaining precious proteins to the Foodbank warehouse!

Give the Cops a Bird

The Pocatello Police Department has launched its annual “Give the Cops a Bird” turkey drive! All proceeds go directly to the Idaho Foodbank to help feed our neighbors in our community this holiday season. Frozen turkeys and monetary donations will be accepted through noon on Friday, November 21st at the Pocatello Police Department.
If you’re interested in making a monetary donation, those can be dropped off at the Pocatello Police Department as well. Please make checks payable to the “Pocatello FOP Union”, and any Venmo donations can be sent to the Pocatello Police Department at @Portneuf-Valley-Lodge with a note specifying that it’s for Give the Cops a Bird.

The Great Idaho Food Drive

Every year, CBS Channel 2 hosts the Great Idaho Food Drive. This year, they're partnering with KBOI Radio 670 AM, Albertsons, Les Schwab, and Two Men and a Truck to collect food for The Idaho Foodbank! Food donations can be dropped off at collection locations from October 27th - November 13th. On the morning of November 14th, a parade of Les Schwab trucks will come to The Idaho Foodbank warehouse in Meridian to unload the food collected throughout the drive.
