Scouting for Food – Southwest Idaho

Scouting for Food, hosted by Scouting America, is one of Idaho’s largest annual food drives. Volunteers across the Treasure, Magic, and Wood River Valley will pick up food from designated neighborhoods. If you find a door hanger at your house on November 1st, you can leave a donation outside your front door for the Scouts to pick up on November 8th.  If you don’t receive a door hanger, you can still donate at one of the drop-off sites listed below.

Various businesses within the LC Valley will be doing a food and fund drive from November 1st to November 15th and all proceeds will benefit The Idaho Foodbank. There are several drop locations where the public can take food/funds. Including: Joe hall Ford, Inland Cellular, Smart Fitness, P1FCU, Hot Shot Espresso, and The Idaho Foodbank will also be a drop center.

Scouting for Food

The Boy Scouts of America Grand Teton Council will once again be gathering non-perishable food items as part of their "Scouting for Food" drive in Eastern Idaho this October. Bags for food collection will be dropped of beginning Oct 21 with the Scouts collecting those filled bags on Saturday, October 28th. The Grand Teton Council serves 16 counties in Eastern Idaho and is working with The Idaho Foodbank to distribute the food to each troops closest local Food Pantry. Best of luck for a hugely successful drive Scouts!

This is part of a larger campaign for Valley Office Systems - where Valley will donate enough to cover one child for two months on the Backpack and School Pantry programs with every printer/copier sold from Oct 5 - Nov 30. This donation is going on at all Valley Office Systems' Idaho Locations: Idaho Falls, Twin Falls, Boise, Pocatello. George Winston Concert

George Winston became famous for his best-selling records for the Windham Hill catalog. His Christmas album December which certified triple platinum for sales of over three million. Winston has recorded over fifteen solo piano albums, and is one of the best-known performers playing contemporary instrumental music.

The concert includes a public food drive with CD sales going to benefit The Idaho Foodbank.
