Kendra Rone, State Farm is organizing an online community fundraising event (in accordance with CDC guidelines and policies) to support the Idaho Foodbank in your effort to aid the public against the ongoing pandemic. We have partnered with Black Hawk BBQ Pit, local first responders (including Pocatello/Chubbuck Police and Fire departments, along with the Army National Guard) and local banks including Mountain America CU, Citizens Community Bank, ISUCU, ICCU, and Connections CU.

The event will encourage the Pocatello/Chubbuck community members to “socially engage” from a distance by ordering delicious food prepared and provided by Black Hawk BBQ Pit which will be delivered by our first responders and service member volunteers. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Idaho Foodbank for Coronavirus relief. As this is a time-sensitive situation, the three-day event will run from March 26th to the 28th with Thursday’s event dedicated to local businesses, and the two remaining for the general public.

We are looking for additional secondary sponsors to help us. Sponsor contributions include time, volunteers, or monetary donations. Your support will help us ease community tension and give everyone an opportunity to come together in new, mutually beneficial ways.

Why Bag Hunger? 10 cents is all it takes to provide a meal to someone in need. More than 37 million people are affected by hunger in the United States, including 11 million children. That means one in every five kids doesn’t have access to the food they need.*

That’s why Macy’s is committed to Bag Hunger. Since 1998, our colleagues and customers have come together to help alleviate hunger by providing support to food banks, including emergency food assistance programs and summer meal programs. Last year, Bag Hunger round-up raised more than $1.4 million for 375 local food banks.

Why Round Up? In conjunction with our Colleague Giving Bag Hunger campaign, we’re inviting our customers to join us by rounding up their purchases and donating their change (up to $0.99) to each store’s chosen food bank.

Diary West is partnering with the Girl Scouts of Silver Sage to make your donation of girl scout cookies go one step further. For every box donated to Cookies From the Heart program, Diary West will donate one gallon of milk to The Idaho Foodbank to help fight hunger in Idaho. Starting on January 17th, customers can begin purchasing Cookies From the Heart boxes and from Feb 28 through March 8 Girl Scout troops will be local retailers, including many Albertsons locations, selling boxes at their cookie booths. Please be sure to stop and say thank you to the Girl Scouts for helping us solve hunger in Idaho.

Come join CAL Ranch, local sporting and community organizations in supporting the Idaho Foodbank by participating in the 13th annual Sportsmen Against Hunger. All proceeds will go to The Idaho Foodbank.

There will be several booths set up inside the store with great information from the sporting and community organizations as well as activities to participate in.

Fun for the whole family, while your supporting your local Idaho Foodbank.

The Boise Co-op is dedicated to giving back to our community. Our Change 4 Change Program is a way for Co-owners and shoppers to participate in that commitment with us. When customers bring in their own shopping bags, they can either earn 10¢ off their bill or choose to donate those two nickels to their choice of three pre-selected recipient organizations that share our commitment to a healthy community. Recipients are chosen on a bi-monthly basis.

The teams competing in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl will package more than 40,000 meals for the local Treasure Valley Community.

Holiday Hoopla is a timed free throw shooting contest. Participants will have one minute to make as many free throws as possible. There are separate divisions for boys and girls. The first place finishers in each division will receive a $50.00 gift card to Dick's Sporting Goods. All proceeds will be donated to the Idaho Foodbank. Boise Fry Co. presents Fries for a Cause at all Idaho locations. On Tuesday, December 17th Boise Fry Co. will be dontating 20% of sales to the Idaho Food Bank. Additionally, from December 15 - 21st customers that donate any canned good will get $1 off of their meal, limit 1 per person.
