Family Day of Volunteering
The Idaho Foodbank warehouse in Pocatello recently hosted a Family Day of Volunteering. These are shorter volunteer sessions that last for one hour and are open to families with children as young as 4 years old. The most recent Family Day was a huge success! Twelve families, along with the help of Girl Scout Troop 271, bagged 4,500 pounds of pears for Idahoans who are struggling to make ends meet. Troop 271 will be back for Family Day in April as they continue to work on their Girl Scout Bronze Award.
