Feeding the 5000 2025
The Portneuf Valley Interfaith Fellowship is kicking off their annual Feeding the 5000 campaign to help support the East Idaho branch of The Idaho Foodbank! Throughout March, April, and May, they will be hosting various events throughout the community to help raise funds and awareness for the food insecurity issues that we’re facing here in East Idaho.
See below for information on each of the events –
March 15 – Kick-Off Concert – Musicians from across the Portneuf Valley will be playing at Central Christian Church starting at 7:00pm. Come learn about what The Idaho Foodbank does throughout the region while getting to listen to wonderful local music!
April 12 – Progressive Dinner – The LDS Building at Caldwell Park will be hosting this year’s Progressive Dinner starting at 5:30pm. Enjoy a variety of food for dinner from all the different churches around town with proceeds from the dinner directly supporting The Idaho Foodbank.
April 19 – Grocery Store Collection – Stop by any of these grocery stores around town – Ridley’s, Fred Meyer, Grocery Outlet, Alberstons, and Bi-lo’s – to say hello to our volunteers and to drop off any extra shelf stable food that you may not need any more. Every thing that gets donated will turn around and get distributed to people within our communities that need it the most!
May 5 – Closing Ceremony – More information to come.
