Giving Cupboard in Rigby
The Giving Cupboard in Rigby, Idaho found a new way to serve their community members over the last year. Naomi Schilling and her team of volunteers operate in a converted warehouse outside of town.
During the pandemic they moved to a mobile distribution instead of having people come inside to select their food. They noticed that many people had a difficult time finding transportation to their location to pick up food. Thinking about who they were serving, The Giving Cupboard was able to obtain a van through some grant funding. This enabled them to bring healthy food to their neighbors in need in Mud Lake.
