Harvest Report: Springing into Season

Right now the weather is picture perfect in SW Idaho. The cold temps of winter have given way to beautiful, sunny spring days. Here’s a look at how some of our local crops are faring…
- These beautiful Black Empress plum trees are loaded and enjoying a healthy spring.
- These cherries are looking very good. They’re coming on average to above-average for this time of year.
- Unfortunately much of this year’s apricot crop was devastated by frost. Trees that should have hundreds of pieces of fruit only have a few. Hopefully spring will be nicer to these crops.
- Peaches are looking good and should be an average crop this year.
- Here are some bee boxes in the pear orchard. It’s almost time for the bees to get buzzing!
