Turkey Bucks goes from Oct 17th to Nov 25th (Thanksgiving) and Santa Bucks from Nov 26th to Dec 25th (Christmas). While checking out at Albertsons, customers will be given the opportunity on the pin pad at the register to donate to a charity. At some stores the option will be to donate to The Idaho Foodbank. This year Albertsons will be providing IFB with gift cards instead of the normal holiday food distribution in a semi truck (turkey breasts, stuffing, mashed potatoes, etc). The planned Holiday Giving gift card allotments will be on 11/17, 12/17, and the last and final on 1/18.
1st celebration Nov 23rd at IFB. Store Directors and art work? Same thing as last year with artwork?
2nd celebration in preparation for Christmas on Dec 14th at an Albertsons location. This week is the biggest donation time at Albertsons.
Morgan brought up a pin that has Idaho Foodbank logo (Holiday Hero) that cashiers could wear for the campaign. Something tangible to give store folks, but not sure if that idea is being picked up.
The Idaho Foodbank is asking for help from local businesses and organizations. We need to collect enough food to fill the Bannock County Thanksgiving food boxes that will be distributed November 20th. To make this happen, we are encouraging local businesses to participate in this fun challenge. Participating businesses will be tasked with providing roughly 500 cans of a specified food item; such as 500 cans of corn or 500 cans of green beans etc. (The number may vary depending on the food item.) Points are collected based off of different activity. The business with the most points at the end of the challenge wins. This win will come with bragging rights for the year and THE TROPHY, as well as lunch and dessert delivered to their location by October 29th. More importantly, you will feel satisfied knowing that your contribution will be able to ease the unfortunate burden of a family who has fallen on rough times.

At Pioneer, we value our youth account holders and teaching them the value of saving money. This October, we are running a fun promotion to continue educating them on saving, but also sharing. For our Holiday Save & Share promotion, new youth account holders will receive a $25 deposit from Pioneer and existing account holders will receive up to a $10 deposit match. With both promotions, the youth account holder will also be encouraged to give $25 (from Pioneer) to an organization of their choice. We’ve chosen (3) organizations; The Idaho Foodbank, Idaho Humane Society, and Make a Wish Idaho for them to donate to.
