Holidays Add Strain On Programs

During the holiday season, it can be difficult to reach the people who are in need in Idaho. With Thanksgiving and Christmas come weeks off from school, leading to Backpack and School Pantry organizers working extra hard to make sure the children who need assistance will have the food they need over their extended time off.

These vacations can be difficult for families who are struggling, with added holiday expenses, heating costs and then more mouths to feed during the day. It’s important that the Foodbank works to reach these families to help make sure the children arrive back at school after Christmas break ready to learn, not suffering.

We need your help more during this time, to make sure the Backpacks are filled, the food is ready and the school pantries are stocked with enough food for preparation ahead of time. We thank you for donating of your funds, your time and your food to make all this possible. Hunger never takes a vacation, but together, we can solve hunger.
