Hope for the Holidays!
As the holiday season gets in full swing, many of us think about bringing out our decorations, buying gifts, and planning for our visits with family and close friends. For many of our neighbors, the joy of preparing for the holidays can be dampened by their struggles to make ends meet. During The Idaho Foodbank’s “Hope for the Holidays” campaign in November and December, our goal is to raise enough funds to provide food for approximately 3.7 million meals. We want to ensure that all Idahoans, no matter what challenges they are currently facing, are able to have a joyful holiday meal and other nourishing food throughout the year.
It has been an impactful Hope for the Holidays campaign so far, with The Idaho Foodbank’s Thanksgiving food box distribution in Pocatello and the Great Idaho Food Drive in the Treasure Valley last month. There is action continuing all over Idaho during our Hope for the Holidays campaign to help ensure all our neighbors have the food they need. This also includes activities that make some of your routine tasks, such as buying groceries or shopping for holiday gifts, an opportunity to support The Idaho Foodbank and your community. Visit idahofoodbank.org/events to find out ways you can get involved and give back this holiday season.
Thank you to Corwin Ford, the Stueckle Family, and Camille Beckman who are matching donations to The Idaho Foodbank during the Hope for the Holidays campaign so that every financial donation has an even greater impact. We want to ensure that all Idahoans, no matter what challenges they are currently facing, are able to have a joyful holiday meal and other nourishing food throughout the holiday season.
